Update: Land cover and land use in the St. Johns River Water Management District based on 2013-2016 digital orthophotography. This layer is a copy of the 2009 lulc dataset, with updates based on conditions in the 2013-2016 orthophotography. A detailed Photointerpretation Key is available at ftp://secure.sjrwmd.com/disk6b/lcover_luse/lcover2009/lu2009_PI_Key/keylist.html. The data is mapped by imagery year as available during the project and conforms closely to the original imagery schedule which anticipated 2 different years of photography. Update to a portion of the NWFWMD section. Between the Apalachicola River and the Choctawhatchee River, 2,670,150 acres, consisting of Franklin, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Bay, Washington, and Holmes (partial Holmes) were updated based on 2019 imagery. Also, Leon County was updated from 2018 to 2019 based on new imagery to match all other counties in the district.
Due to Hurricane Michael a new character, '9', has been added in the level 4 designation to indicate storm damage. This only pertains to select, mostly heavily vegetation codes or ones that show signs of vegetation damage. They include 2139, 2239, 2409, 2439, 3209, 3229, 3309, 4109, 4119, 4129, 4139, 4149, 4209, 4219, 4279, 4289, 4349, 4419, 4439, 6119, 6139, 6149, 6159, 6179, 6189, 6219, 6259, 6309, and 6469. The core codes of the delineated land use (or cover) have not been changed from their previous designation, we have just added the '9' designation to it. Determination whether or not to keep the designation in the next update will be deliberated by the NWFWMD at that time.

Update to a portion (2,604,268 acers only) of the NWFWMD section. Used state 2019 imagery for Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Holmes (- partial district edits for Holmes) and for Okaloosa we used the USDA's 2019 NAIP imagery along with ESRI's Basemap and Okaloosa County’s imagery (2019) coming from the Counties GIS Server Connection. Eglin Air Force Base was blacked out in the state’s imagery along with NAIP imagery so we used ESRI's Basemap (edits done in Spring 2021, imagery might have been 2020). This completes the NWFWMD 2019 updated land use for the entire district.
