The historic aerial imagery files were collected and utilized in 2009 as part of the change analysis task of the "Developing a Coordinated Watershed Approach for Linking Compensatory Mitigation and Tampa Bay Habitat Restoration Goals" project of the Tampa Bay Estuary Program. The imagery was used to help locate and delineate freshwater wetlands that existed during the 1950s that were not included in pre-existing historic wetlands datasets. In 2013, this dataset was updated to include all of Manatee County, including a 0.5 mile buffer of the county. |
